Yummy Ma’amoul Cookies has a history that extends back to the era of the pharaohs. The inscriptions carried by the bead of the maamoul at that time are nothing but a drawing of the sun, which was known to the pharaohs as the god Aten, one of the gods of the pharaohs, as the history books indicate. Where the Pharaohs used to put the Maamoul with the dead inside the tombs, the Egyptians have continued to make and serve it on holidays or when visiting the dead and graves to this day.
