  • 3 cups white flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Filling Ingredients:
  • 2 cups to 3fresh zaatar leaves washed thoroughly, thyme
  • 1 medium size onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions :

For the Dough:
  1. In a medium-size bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, sugar, and olive oil. Rub the mixture together until oil is well combined into the flour.
  2. Add one cup of warm water gradually while kneading using one hand (add more water if the dough is dry or flour if it is too sticky). Cover the medium-size with a plastic bag and place it in a warm place for about 30 to 40 minutes or until doubled in size.
For the Filling:
  1. Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine zaatar (thyme) leaves, chopped onions, sumac, salt, and olive oil. Mix all together and leave aside
