Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of minced beef or lamb meat cuts
  • 1 pound of white dry beans soaked in water the night before
  • 1 small spoon of Italian 5 spice
  • 2 cups of black olives
  • 1 small scoop of harissa
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 large tablespoons of tomato purée
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic
  • 2 finely chopped onions

Instructions

  • Drain the beans and put them in water and cook in a large pan for about 20 minutes, make sure to change the water after each 10 minutes
  • Sauté the onions, the garlic; the greens and the harissa
  • Add the tomatoes, the hot water and cook for 30 minutes
  • Season the minced meat with garlic, harissa, the spices, and the harissa according to taste
  • Drain the beans from their water, and add them to the pot, then add half of the water you boiled in the pan
  • Cover with the lid and let simmer on a medium high heat
  • After 20 minutes, drop the minced meat and bring the pot to a boil
  • Add the olives and let it cook for two minutes
  • Serve and enjoy your bean stew!
